Glass gaming desks will not break easily if they are made from proper materials. At Eureka Ergonomic, our glass desks are constructed out of tempered glass for added robustness.
The thought of a glass gaming desk can shock many people. Won’t a glass desk break very easily? This is a common question people ponder, and you often receive incorrect information. If a glass desk does break easily, that doesn’t mean all glass desks are bad and brittle. What tends to happen is that poor-quality desks made from normal glass will be prone to breaking. However, if you buy a gaming glass desk that’s made from the right materials, it won’t break easily at all. If anything, it will be stronger and more robust than other desk materials.
Eureka Ergonomic manufactures tempered glass desks
At Eureka Ergonomic, we construct glass gaming desks out of a special type of glass. It’s called tempered glass as it undergoes a heat treatment that causes chemical reactions within the elements that make up the glass. Effectively, this strengthens the material and makes it far sturdier and more resilient.
Consequently, tempered glass desks will not break easily. In fact, they are incredibly difficult to break or damage. We manufacture an L-shaped gaming desk, a standing glass desk, a standing glass gaming desk with a built-in PC case, and a standard small desk. All of these products are made using our tempered glass, allowing them to withstand loads between 200-330lbs. As you can imagine, this is more than enough to handle whatever you are placing on your desk – a PC, monitor, games console, speaker system, keyboard, accessories, etc.
So, you don’t have to worry about the glass desk breaking or cracking under the weight of a computer and everything else. The same can’t be said for other desk materials, with a lot of fiberboard desks denting and cracking when put under load for a long time.
Alongside the impressive strength, our glass desks possess properties that make them even harder to break:
Scratch-resistant
Tempered glass is scratch-resistant, which means your desk will not be scratched or scarred by shard objects. Often, wooden or fiberboard gaming desks can be scratched by monitor stands or other things that are moved around on the surface. A tempered glass desk won’t have this issue, meaning scratches don’t form and your desk remains in excellent condition.
Shatter-resistant
The glass we use to make our desks at our manufacturing plant in China is shatter-resistant. In essence, the glass will not shatter into many pieces when faced with high impacts. Although we don’t recommend you do this, you could slam your fists on the desk in annoyance during a gaming session, and the desk will not break.
Water-resistant
One of the key advantages of a glass gaming desk is that it is water-resistant. Other common desk materials can react badly to water, leading to long-term stains. With some wooden desks, if you don’t act quickly, the water can soak into the material and (potentially) start rotting. In turn, this compromises the structural integrity and could make the desk break easily. Our tempered glass gaming desks are completely water-resistant – if there’s a spillage, it stays on the surface and can be wiped away in an instant. As such, the structural integrity of the desk is never an issue and it is less likely to break.
Heat-resistant
Lastly, tempered glass is heat-resistant, meaning it can withstand extremely high temperatures – the type of which you won’t experience when gaming. However, if you place a gaming PC on your desk, the heat can impact the material. This could lead to certain materials bending or being warped out of shape, leading to the desk breaking. With glass, this is never an issue. The heat-resistant properties ensure that the surface never warps and stays in excellent condition.
All in all, glass desks do not break easily when they are made from high-quality materials. All of the glass gaming desks on offer by Eureka Ergonomics are made from extremely durable tempered glass. This ensures that your desk will last for an extremely long time as it can handle heavy loads, be resistant to scratches, exhibit shatter-resistance properties, and handle heat and water with ease.
So, if you have tried many gaming desks in the past, and they all break after a few months or a year, maybe it’s time to try something different. You may have avoided glass desks in the past, but a quality product will last the test of time.
