GTA 6 isn’t even close to arriving, and despite the constant rumors, we don’t know where it will go. So we decided to list nine cities that would be perfect to host a GTA.
As usual, Rockstar does not communicate on GTA 6! Recently, the first image of the game would have leaked but nothing was confirmed.
For the moment, we only have rumors and they are rarely reliable. If many of them announce a return to Vice City, a change of scenery would not displease the fans. While many of them would love to return to Vice City, imagining new destinations is not uninteresting.
Rockstar has always been able to offer us incredible open-world games based on iconic cities. Los Santos, San Fierro, Vice City, Liberty City,… GTA has always been able to take us to places that are perfect for the game. But the world is vast and even if the game is based on American culture, there are still many usable destinations. Discover the 9 cities we would like to see in GTA!
Washington DC
GTA has toured the United States but never stopped in Washington! Yet, the city has a lot to offer. One could imagine a real political intrigue linking the government and the local mob.
When we know that politicians often attack GTA, it could be fun to see the license give them a piece of their mind.
Paris
Paris is the first city that comes to mind, especially for its size and density that could make the game very vertical. For a varied environment, it would obviously be necessary to leave the city to explore new horizons of our country.
Putting Paris aside, Marseille could be an excellent choice to host a GTA. Urban area, mountain, sea, all the ingredients are gathered to have varied and rich areas to explore.

London
London is one of Europe’s largest metropolises. Despite its flaws, Watch Dogs Legion showed us that the city has potential and a GTA game in the UK could be interesting.
Of course, it should not stop at London. It could be interesting to extend the game air to the north, to the Scottish Highlands.
Rio de Janeiro
Latin America is an unexploited playground for Rockstar. Several rumors have already mentioned this universe and there is definitely something to do. Whether it’s in the favelas of Rio de Janeiro or the cocaine plantations of Bolivia, the plot could be crazy if Rockstar chooses an interesting time.
In addition to a completely different style of city, the jungle and mountains would offer a whole new environment to the license.
Chicago
Chicago is America’s third-most populous city. It has long been synonymous with crime. With this city, one quickly thinks of Al Capone and his underworld.
Chicago is located in the Great Lakes region and also offers a vast playground around its city, which reinforces the interest of a GTA for this metropolis.
Tokyo
Why not discover Tokyo in a GTA? The Japanese culture has a lot to offer as well as its capital. Verticality and new environment would be at the rendezvous and the possibilities of scenario rather vast.
Lagos – Nigeria
Lagos is the largest city in Nigeria. It is huge, contrary to what one might think, and would offer a whole new playground. Much of sub-Saharan Africa is plagued by conflict and crime. It’s a perfect environment to introduce a GTA protagonist.
Landing in this new environment would be unprecedented for GTA and is clearly a risk-taking move. It’s unlikely that Rockstar will ever take this gamble as the studio has mastered the American metropolis, but why not imagine a DLC or a shorter opus in a city like Lagos?
The island of Cuba
Why not imagine a GTA on the island of Cuba? It’s an exotic environment that is not to be disliked by gamers and the Cuba of the Cold War era undoubtedly has a lot to offer! Its proximity to Vice City is also a real asset that Rockstar could use to create a gigantic world.
